All my correspondence lately has been rushed off at a hurry 'cos we have been continually shifting camp and I've had very little time to write much. So this also is a rush note just to say I'm as fit as a fiddle & 'opes you're the same as it leaves me at present. There is a bit of skirmiishing going on up Katia way but we are some miles from there. We are all very anxious to finish off Abdul & then get across to France. Can't say when this will be. But I'm about tired of this old war & would just love to be back home again. It seems such a long time since I left sunny New South Wales. Such a lot of things have happened since then. Yet I'm still alive & kicking & feeling very fit. I always was too lucky...I am expecting that as I write this, you will be reading "Trooper Bluegum' . Mr Sommerville told me
