My  dear old Dad:-

I've just received another big batch of letters from Egypt, including about a dozen from unknown admirers addressed to Trooper Bluegum, 6th L. H. Rgt etc...     But before I think of answering them I want to try & answer your very kind   & generous  epistle of Dec 6.   It was so full of news -  good news of mother & home.   I do hope & pray that she is now well on the mend.

Re Angus & Robertson   -  I think - they are shockingly  slow &  sleepy &  dead.  They should have rushed Bluegum.   It was right into their hands.   Goodness only knows why they let it pass.   I get scores of letters asking about it.

Re your Cable - several times you have written stating that you were waiting
