We relieved the Black Watch or what was left of them this evening they had a very tough time & repulsed 3 counter attacks & finally drove the Huns out with the bayonet
Tuesday 26th
Went to Village for water this morning & had a pretty hot time Fritz shelled us all the time got back safe & found that we had missed a heavey shelling of the trenches while we were away our platoon suffering pretty heavey & we got another hot time this evening at 7pm we took a strongpost off Fritz after a pretty hot bombing engagement got relieved at 10pm & went over & took up a position behind a bank we support Canterbury in an attack tomorrow
Wednesday 27th
Got heavily shelled all this morning I got 4 slight wounds in the leg so went to the dressing station & stopped there. The advance went
