Another day in bed. Our ward was filled up today. A C.of E. clergyman held service in the afternoon. Saw about 8 unfortunates wrapped up in Union Jacks consigned to another ship to be taken out & consigned to the deep outside.
Monday 17th May
Last night I essayed to get up & visit latrine. I managed fairly well but had to get help to get back. My leg will not bear too much weight & the muscles contract on lifting it. At 1 PM our anchor was weighed & we understand we are bound for Alexandria.
