lift my left leg. I had little or no appetite. All day cases were brought on board - the Seang Choon was only used for the first casualty cases - all the very serious cases being sent on to the Hospital Ship "Gascon". In the evening all lights were turned out as submarines of the enemys were reported in the neighbourhood. Our ship unfortunately did not have the lighted up cross to carry.
Friday 14th
Still very stiff & sore. Slept very little. It is about the first time for many years I have lain on my back for a day. The Turks were still reaping a great harvest as victims still arrived
