Although I had been absent from the unit for nearly two years I was welcomed openly, & gained great delight by the way they addressed me as the Bishop of London, - the name I had been known by at Gallipoli.
Meanwhile we continue our lazy life in the camp.
One gets up in time for breakfast, makes the fire in a can outside the tent; messes about & gets very dirty & then does a little fatigue. Before dinner one reads & washes, varying the monotony by chasing pigs under the hop poles. After dinner one intends to go to the village, (or town if you like; the natives call it that), but messes
