He soon found the new mess hut, & was a familiar figure on the parade ground at fall-in. When our call went his ears would prick up, & if the following one was one he knew, away he would run with great energy. The neighbouring camp calls left him cold.
The 16th went away (disbanded), as two drafts to France, & when the first went Dingo seemed the think it was more than the usual route march, but he went with them as usual. At Tidworth Station he followed no farther for it was not possible, so he returned disconsolately to camp.
