12th/Left Mera Matruh at 9 am., arrived at first well at 2pm. put down horse lines & camped for night, looking like rain plenty of good tucker some the S.M. has stored up & now wants to be rid of. not much spare rum come to light yet. I gues he knows where that went.
13th/ Travelled 17 miles to next well & camped for night got in at six pm
