building stables which we badly needed as we have been mud up our knees getting in to feed etc. the horses, now we hear that we are leaving for down below.
Nov. 3/11/16. The New Zealand have taken our infantry's places in the trenches, they have just come up from the Somme where the took the village of Flers & other small villages they were cut up badly. We expect to be relieved by N.Z. Artillery on Tuesday which will be the 6th Nov. I expect we shall find it
