6/ On regimental 2 hr fatigue loading forage & water from ship. We seem to be getting plenty of rain, it must be the wet season for this part.
9/Went out along the coast about 10 miles in direction of Solloum & found coast clear. burnt ten houses & destroyed some old wells. While halted a nigger or senussi, rode up on a fine arab horse, to speak to the O.C., he soon delivered his message & went back towards Solloum; we hear that he came from the Grand shiek of the Senussi tribe to say that they were neutral
