June 5/ We had an inspecton of harness & guns by General McKie, or McKay who commands the 5th Div. of which we are part. It has been very hot all day & we were taken out for a swim for a wonder
12/ Cleaning up our harness all day, Divisional Sports supposed to come off tommorrow, they should be very good. Heard of Kitchener being drowned, all English wearing creape armbands but not A.I.F. officers. A battery of artillery went away by train today, we may go on Thursday or Saturday.
