Handed in all our equipment to S.M., so it looks as if we shall soon get a move
25th/ on last. I put in pass to visit Cairo, had a good time & bought a few necessary things. Packed kitbag when I arrived back from town as we leave tommorrow morning.
26/ Up at 3.30 am left camp at 6.30 am & marched from Maadi into Cairo about 10 miles, entrained at Cairo for Tel el Kebir on the main Suez line. We trucked into the usual open trucks
