on my part , after getting to know all the boys, & I must say they were a fine lot in the troop & many were from the Upper Hunter district where I first contracted the war fever.

Other reinforcements formed & I got into the 9lth of 6th Reg with some mates of mine.
We had a very hard time at drill for some weeks under an officer named Prideaux Brune who was once an officer in a English Calvary Regt, he was not popular with the Boys We are now ready for Egypt when boats are available .You will notice that I miss writing down notes for a few
