backing them up. In case the camp is shelled we have orders to saddle up etc without noise, then file down to the sea & take cover under a great sand dunne.
Our squadron is on duty today dispatch riding gaurds etc, There are plenty of shells flying overhead, making some noise as they go. I don't know a great bombardment must sound like at the Dardanelles or in France but I expect I will know before I reach home.
We hear very little news
