at 9 am.& we ought to get to our destination to-night sometime & I can tell you we will not be a little bit sorry as it becomes very dull seeing nothing but sand day after day.

Arrived at out base camp at 5-30 pm. The name of the small town is Matruh.
It took us four days & a night to get here from El Dabba the Railhead.
We soon set to work & got the horse lines down & gave the horses a good feed.
A squadron went out patrolling eight miles from here, The aeroplanes
