Arrived at Railhead at 10-3 am after travelling all night. New Zealand soldiers camped here also Egyptian camel corps.
Wattered horses at well the water was putrid.
We then started to ride for our destination & did about 25 miles & camped near well gaurded by Indians.
We watered horses & had tea Up again next morning at 2am. Saddled up & away upon the track again.
I was in a party told off for the rear gaurd; wagons began to get stuck up & delayed us from advancing for sometime, arrived at
