Monday 30th October 1916.
We are nearing Capetown so are cleaning up our things in readiness for leave.
Tuesday 31st October 1916. Capetown
We are outside Capetown. The view is simply glorious. There are mountains all round and the clouds are drifting lazily over the tops. After the usual march Ron & I went to a cafe and had some dinner. We went to the museum where we met Mrs Newell and two other ladies with their kiddies. We had a splendid time and they took our photos. They left us and we had some tea after which we went pirating and hooked two tabbies. We went for a walk to the pier and then saw them home. we got back to the boat at 1am, tired out.
Wednesday 1st November 1916.
We had the march and came back to the boat. We left Capetown at 2pm but there weren't many people down at the wharf. We settled down to the usual monotonous routine.
Thursday 2nd November 1916.
We had some more sports today and incidently we are in the Atlantic Ocean.
