Thursday 12th April - Bapaume
We moved up to tents outside Bapaume. It rained all the way up and is still raining so the ground is slightly? muddy. However we were too tired to notice a little detail like that so got to sleep in the Y.M.C.A. marquee.
Friday 13th April - Noreuil
We fixed our equipment battle order and stacked our packs and at 5p.m. we moved up to Noreuil. Going across a field under observation fritz started to tear it in so we lost no time in getting to the sunken road where we relieved the Batt. However everything went alright and we were asleep by 11p.m.
Saturday 14 April
I got up at 10a.m. and had something to eat fritz keeps an accompaniment with coal boxes and H E's. At 5p.m. we started to shift a dump of 36,000 bombs up to the front line. I carried 6 boxes (6 dozen bombs) in three trips and then we were dismissed so dropped off to sleep.
