Saturday 4th August
We went for a small march this morning (10 miles) and had our dinner with us. This afternoon we had organised games and then marched home? again.
Sunday 5th August - Fromentil
We marched to Fromentil and carried out a practice stunt for wood fighting.
Tuesday 7th August
Packed up and marched for 3 miles with it up. We then dumped our packs and marched back to Arques. Got to bed fully dressed.
Saturday 18th August
I was told to pack my gear up as I was leaving for the Base. I got my forwarding papers at Bde Hq. & walked to St Omer. I got on the train at 12.30p.m. and had my dinner aboard. I played dominoes with some tommies till I dropped off to sleep.
Sunday 19th August - Harfleur, Le Havre
We pulled up at Harfleur station & I got out and walked to the base at Le Havre where I met J. Quigley. He got me some dinner & a couple of blankets so I had a sleep.
