Sunday 25th March
We packed up this afternoon and had tea and then held ourselves in readiness to move at a minutes notice.
Monday 26th March - Favreuil, Vaulx, Lagnicourt
We moved off at 3am up to trenches outside Favreuil. It started to rain and it made everything nice and slushy. After a while we shifted up to the support lines outside Vaulx where we made dugouts.That night we went across the fields to Lagnicourt. And didn't fritz send em over. We had to get out and carry coils of barbed wire fagged out as we were up to the front line. We finished at 1am and then Ron and I found that somebody had pinched our home so we had to go and find it which we did at last and got to sleep sitting up.
