Bayzieux
We marched to Bayzieux a place about 12 miles from Shelter Wood. Its a muddy, nasty and stinking hole. We got to bed early
Tuesday 20th February
Got up at 8:30am and went to the Dr. He gave me no duty so I went and had a sleep.
Wednesday 21st February - Laveirville
Went to Dr. Got no duty so went with the waggons to Lavierville and brought back the rations. I had a good feed at Lavierville. Thursday also.
Friday 23rd February
Came a "gutser" had to drill all day and tomorrow.
Sunday 25th February
We had a route march this morning and I had a sleep this afternoon
Monday 26th February
We had parade every day now for 3 days.
Thursday 1st March - Becourt
We packed up our kit and marched to Becourt a distance of about 10 miles. When we got our huts & blankets I was very glad to get to sleep.
