French pronunciation of some common English word comes in with rather funny effect. "This" is always "Zeese" & the is "Ze". She is pessimistic & thinks the war cannot possibly end for four years or more unless we loose. She seems to believe in the fact of England reclaiming Belgium, but thought thinks we have underrated the job.
Nearly every night lately the Boche has come over with his bombs, but none have been dropped very near the camp. It provides a little excitement for a time, but one speedily gets used to them for the danger is not very great.
