On stables then fatigue. We gave the horses a salt water bath & had one ourselves, it was glorious & the horses enjoyed it after their long & dusty trip.
We are lucky to be near the sea; as there is nothing else to see but sand & sand.
Dec 13/
Went out with 5 men & a corpral as a water gaurd 3 miles towards the enemy's position. We searched every old house for enemy but only found five rifles & some old pistols & a few coins.
