Out pattroling, found enemy near camp, so we had a cut in at them.
They must have thought they had us nearly under. Seeing us retreat in disorder so got much more game & came closer, they soon bolted back to the hills when they found us with plenty of bullets for them
We cannot do much till reinforcements arrive from Alexandria. The track that we came by is now blocked by the enemy & they have been trying to take the Railhead; but they will find the
