often used for pigs & fowls. We arrived at Tel el Kebir at 4.30 pm. We wandered arround for a couple of hours like lost sheep till we were claimed & posted to tents. I forgot to mention that we had to march two miles to camp & carry kits which was far from a joke in this loose sand.
They would not give us any tea as we were supposed to have rations for 24 hrs, but not enough for 12 hrs so we bought a dixie of tea of the cooks & made the best of things. The Artillery officer
