captain has granted us a spell.
22nd/ Eighty horses arrived here, some left over after the 12th L.H. got its compliment. I suppose it will make more picquet for some of us. They might be going to form a reserve squadron. All the Artillery men called,out then went for route march arround Maddi. It looks as if we shall soon leave this home of homes on active service. No early morning parade as Sgts & Officers had a night out & did not feel the best.
