Just now I am engaged in guarding our water supply – a futile business, largely the outcome of the stealing episode. However I am on first shift and there is a good moon so it is not so bad. In fact it is mainly on these occasions alone that one has time for ant protracted meditation in this chequered existence.
There is one redeeming feature about Egypt – the nights are wonderful.
