There was an aeroplane scare this morning – reported about seven miles away by an outpost – Everyone scattered all over the desert with his horse & then , of course, being ready for it, the cussed plane did not turn up.
Last night some stuff was found missing from the QM store. The result was that the two "officers" in that beautifully, tactful & gentlemanly way some of these people have immediately without a word of explanation to apology searched everyone's kit!. I, & everyone else too, was furiously angry but afterwards it occurred
