So tomorrow there will be alarms & excursions I suppose & poor old Jackie – our 8 hr – won't know whether he is on his head or his heels and the hard workers will do all the work while the pointers take a holiday & do nothing; Oh! I could map out the programmes of the next few days as accurately as if they were already past! – But I had better not anticipate. Let it suffice to say that we are at least about to shake from off our perspirings feet the thrice accursed dust of Sohag.
