are not content with their dark attacks here I shall give no reply through the medium those attacks were made, nor shall I ever shrink from the Investigating Authority of the Laws of England. The attack in the Morning Post of that date as well as most others are recognised here as the production of a great monopolizing sheep breeder.

In the 2nd paragraph of that letter the writer has taken on him to assert what has so little entered into my contemplation that I shall only observe, that the little reason I ever had to expect justice or honor [?] from those who had sacrificed little, is now & has been for some time past perfected.  On the 3rd paragh. of that scurrilous letter the writer might with great propriety & truth have said what he evidently meant "I who am the Governors Enemy" and in like manner the whole of that might be transfered.  There is one fact that is clear to all, that had the Government rested with the Inditer of that corrected [indecipherable], or had I resigned the Government to him & have supported him by my responsability every thing would then have gone on well.
