This Society, which waws formed amonst
other things for collecting all that is obtainable
concerning the Aboriginies, solicits your assistance
in making a collection of the Native Names of
places with their meanings or the reason why
the blacks gave such names to the several
localities (see example.*) No doubt some of the old
residents in your district will be able to assist you
