Re papers having reference to the
collection of Native names of
places and their meanings.
  

Sen Const Clifford No3439 begs to
report that he interviewed "Friday"
& "Brown" the oldest Aborigines about
here, respecting the Native names
of places in this district and their
meanings, they stated they know
them all in English, but not the
meaning or reason why the names
were given to the various places
by the natives.
