to put into some definite form - the
locations of the different dialects -
and meanings of each word as you can
obtain - of a reliable source   I have
supplied the corrections as per enclosed
which I trust may be given to you.

Dear Sir
My attention has been drawn in your
last issue  to the meanings of place
names - as supplied by officers of the
Survey Department.
While giving credit to these Officers
for their effort in this direction and
recognizing the great difficulty I have
always experienced in obtaining meanings
of words from even the most intelligent
blackfellow - still it would be a great
pity if erroneous explanations of such
should obtain a place-
I have only dealt with these in
the Dubbo District or Wirradjerry -
Dialect with which I am acquainted-
