And there we lie stretched in attitudes of hardly graceful ease, until the clarion call of Ie-e-e-e-e-o. breaks in our eager ears; then with a clink & clank, as of a multitude of mugs being grabbed, each walks or runs according to his disposition, the heat, and the state of his throat, to the place by the fire where one uttering strange cries & brandishing a pannikin dispenses the amber fluid.
