The extent of this Burthen on the Public was no doubt the Reason why the Emoluments of the office were Regulated,  The Fees upon Coinage have been abolishd  are carried to the Public account & a Salary of £3000 a year given to the master in their stead, to the master The Profits of the maltings however are Still Left with the master & all other of his Perquisites, The Bank have Paid in the Last two years nearly £15,000 for melting of silver a very Large portion of which must have Rested in the hands of the masters deputy, to whom the profits of the melting were given by the Late master Earl Bathurst. who is not in Future to derive any advantage from the meltings which in Lord Cadogans mastership were Let. 

The Emoluments of the master & worker at Present, after the Customary deductions have been made, amount to £2710 a year no Tax but the war Tax upon Property being deducted & £10 a year allowd for stationary

This office Cannot be Properly Considerd as a Sine Cure, The Responsibility attachd to it is immense &
