No 7. The Master Second Clerk
This Person is at present wholly Employd as the assistant in the melting office, & he is an Excellent metalurgist & his Talents are so necessary there, that in whatever manner the Silver meltings may be hereafter arrangd, he must of necessity have a Principal Part in Conducting them.
No 8. The Master third Clerk
This office was little if at all necessary untill the Second Clerk was Removd from his Desk into the melting house, indeed untill the Salary of the Masters Assay Master was Regulated by the Last Master & worker he Receivd as a Part of his Pay the Salary of the third clerk which is which is only £50 a year, as matters now Stand the Cheef of the
