were delightfully pretty especially after the heavy rain.
After lunch, I settled my account of 22/6 for bed & 3 meals & tips & took trin for Carnarvon. Arriving at Carnarvon I inspected the Castle in company with an American Padre. It is a delightful old castle & from the towers one gets a magnificent view of Snowdon & surrounding peaks.
Put up at Prince of Wales Hotel.
17th
Returned to Chester - walked round the old town on the wall. Spent 3 hours here & then caught train to Liverpool. Put up at Compton Hotel, Church St. Liverpool.
18 Good Friday
After breakfast I walked through the main streets & along the wharves of the Mersey. Spent afternoon at New Brighton - riverside summer resort [continued on Page 53]
