20th  
At Copsley Outwood Redhill, Surrey at Mrs. Dyce-Alexander's.   She is a wonderfully generous & active old lady - a thorough Christian if ever there was one.   I was met at Redhill Station & motored to Copsley - about 6 miles.

21st
Breakfast in bed - a delightful tray - porridge, rich milk, brown sugar, - egg & bacon, toast & dairy butter, tea. Everything arranged with great daintiness - just  for one.   Had a long read of Newspapers, magazines & Dombey & Son. After dinner we had Parlor Evening Games.

23rd
Attended Church at Outwood in morning.   Visited an old astronomer - Mr Moore & had a look at Sun & Sunspots & Spectrum through his telescope.   Went for a walk with other officers.   There are 8 officers staying here.

24th
Journeyed to London from Horley with Mrs. Alexander & her niece Miss Dyce
