We kept him at bay all the evening with an almost constant barrage of rifle grenades, rifle & M.G. fire while our planes giving our position to the artillery obtained for us some artillery support. Fritz also began to drop a few heaves about us. Just after dark Fritz again determined to retake the line & massed in the communication
