Being partly clothed a search for food is often the next performance the consumption of which occupying until the fall in for morning stables, on which every one parades with the exception of the Last Picket who meanders about the lines with an overcoat over his defective clothing, unlaced boots & an unshaven & unlovely countenance, pallid in the morning light.

The Labourer has been well worthy of his hire the last few days. There have been 103 horses to be looked after by about 16-17 men
