was J H Kemp who strikes me in some ways as being somewhat callow & crude, & is apt when enjoying himself to become a trifle boisterous & uncouth. Many was the time I wished for Yeats or Tommy Rutterford [transcribers note: T Rutherford , not Rutterford, is listed in Embarkation Role, #34, 1st LH Brigade] to be down there.
However on the whole I enjoyed myself very much. I would get up late & at about 10 go into the sea remain there till 12.30 then to lunch at the Café du Nil €“ I would like to know how many Café's du Nil there are
