Six of the 2nd Reg. were caught by 30 turks when patrolling yesterday afternoon this fellow was hit & they brought him under cover over their saddles.
We pumped 10 rounds from a battery of 18 pdrs onto Oghratina & then came home reaching here about 12 oclock. Stand to again at 3 - I shall sleep well today.
24th July
Went out to Katia again at 2 am yesterday morning & came back again at midnight. We all lay on our backs for about half an hour in the morning watching
