W. & commenced to drive the now repulsed 'enemy in a southerly direction. We caught up the regiments at about 8 oclock & had a sleep until 3 am & then started again in pursuit. The desert to the W & South of the camp was strewn with our shrapnel shell & cases & clothing, boots, ammunition & camels, abandoned by the Turks. About 2600 turks were captured including a German M.G.S. & FA. complete. At about 10.30 we met the 3rd Brigade LH. advancing from Duweidar.at Everywhere the eye could see over the desert there were mounted
