Friday 2/6/16 Quiet day generally Major Martin promoted to Lieut Colonel from 19/4/16.
Saturday 3/6/16 Took over trenches from 19th Battalion
Sunday 4/6/16 Received message from the General congratulating me on D.S.O. – General CNMG Paton CB Watson & Fitzgerald & Wisdom DSO – Heavy shelling on both Flanks at 6.30 pm
Monday 5/6/16 Quiet day, Lowther slightly wounded, and two other ranks (one seriously). Stood to Arms from 8.30 pm to 1.30 AM on account of raid by 7th Bde which failed to come off. very cold
