Poziers. Bivouaced in large Chalk Quarries
Sunday 23/7/15 Went to church Parade Baz sick, had to bivouac again very cold.
Monday 24/7/16 Went for a ride around Albert with the General. left for Sausage Valley near Contalmaison, now in Trenches (old German)
Tuesday 25/7/16 Saw Geoff McLoughlin. reconnoitra ground to Contalmaison & Poziers Battalion went into line. I left remained at Bde Hdqrs
Wednesday 26/7/16 Sent up water & bombs all day, very hard fighting Battalion doing well but a lot of Casualties.
Thursday 27/7/16 Going all night – saw the Colonel early – sent 80 stretcher bearers up our
