Saturday 20/5/16 – Finished old diary and sent it with Johnson (who has gone to leave to England) to be sent to Doff
Sunday 21/5/16 Went around trenches, B Coy a [indecipherable]
Monday 22/5/16 General Work – relief by 19th Battn only partly carried out – 5000 yards of trenches dug in night
Tuesday 23/5/16 Relief completed by 12 midnight – very tired
Wednesday 24/5/16 Empire Day had a letter from Florrie [indecipherable] 23/6/15 11 months Had hot bath, saw the General and had a long yarn
Thursday 25/5/16 Wrote a long letter to Doff Things very quiet, but had a "Stand to" at 3 AM
Friday 26/6/16 Visited the billet also saw Lloyd Field Artillery also [indecipherable] Had dinner with [indecipherable] .
