Thursday 3/8/16 Had a good sleep for about 3 hours men looking very tired – had a letter from Doff
Friday 4/8/16 Attack on OG 1 and 2 by whole Division a great success I reinforced Martin with remainder Battalion.
Saturday 5/8/16 Took charge of digging in party – relieved by 45th Battery (Herring) at 6 pm – We went to Tara Hill – one man killed there by shells.
Sunday 6/8/16 Inspection of Brigade by Birdwood – then we marched to Warloy.
Monday 7/8/16 – Had a bath, rested the day, saw the General, saw Watson in Hospital wotj Shell shock – Manning having been Killed
