Tuesday 22/8/16 Went up to the Front saw Martin also the General
Wednesday 23/8/16 Quiet day in dugout Shelled heavily by the Hun – wrote to Bas.
Thursday 24/5/16 visited to Colonel & the front line – now on top of hill – straped well coming back saw the General
Friday 25/8/16 Wrote to Doff – saw Doff General coming out of trenches tomorrow move out [indecipherable] Road
