Monday 14/5/16 More Training – Went for a ride with the Colonel & finally visited the ancient excavations (renounded in History) of Naours
Tuesday 15/8/16 Battalion Sports very interesting and amusing afternoon – Boxing, Pillow Fight –Wrestling on horseback. Tug of War on Horseback & throwing Cricket ball. Orders to proceed to La Vicogne & Rubempre tomorrow
Wednesday 16/8/16 Marched from Halloy to La Vicogne – bivouacked in same Chateau Garden – had a game of Solo – Rained all night.
Thursday 17/8/16 Marched at 8.30 am for Harponville (10 miles) arriving at 1 pm Wrote a letter to Doff.
Friday 18/8/16 Battalion training finished letter to Doff - [indecipherable] now Temp Major Spier a Captain
