Read "Garibaldi's Making of Italy" by Trevelyan - a very fine work.

Read Mason's "Four Feathers" a well written interesting novel.

Entry 4.2.19
In 3rd L.G.H. - Face no better -  Have read & made notes on Garibaldi's  "Making of Italy".   Commenced Rose's "Life of Napoleon".

Attended History lecture "National Spirit of Middle Ages". Sun shone today for 1st  time in 15 days except for a few minutes. We had 12 minutes sunshine in 15 days.

5th
Attended Entertainment at Hall of Draper' Company, Throgmorton Street, London. Enjoyed a very fine concert & tea.   We were driven by bus to & from the City.  

8th
Visited Westminister Abbey for  ½ hour - visited Poets Statesmen's Corner.
